YO welcome to our crib, here's our fridge

So considering our blog is centered around our dorm room, (not restaurant reviews as catherine naively believes) i find it only fitting that we give our viewers and one follower (yes!) a MTV cribs style tour of our room. And by room i mean fridge and bin of food on top of fridge. So let's begin!

Fridge:
- blue powerade 3/4 full
- red powerade 3/4 full
- 4 dasani water 1/4 full (thanks Cath!)
- 1 empty bottle of smart water

to give you the visual, it's organized by brand. powerades on first shelf, waters on second (as our personal assistants are instructed to do so).

Now on to the Freezer:
-Ben and Jerry's Half Baked 1/2 full (no cookie dough left however, sorry)
-Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Brownie 3/4 full (thank you bethea for forgetting that in our room)

As you can see we are strictly organic and natural eaters, so let's check out the bin of food!

Bin of Food:
-One a Day gummy vitamins (more like 5 a day! ha! ha!)
-oatmeal...
-honey...
-febreeze and clorox wipes - although technically not food and should never be consumed as food, still are conveniently stored along side edibles we put in our mouths

*due to lack of self control, we cannot allow open containers of food inside of our room as demonstrated by the empty wheat thins box which had a life of less than 24hrs.

so AWESOME glad you could check out our crib. check back next time for a tour of our cars and terrace place garage.

until then,

clare

New Project

So, Clare and I (and by Clare and I, I mean just me)have just come up with a new project for this blog. Besides our random posts, we are also going to record every new Nashvillian restaurant we try this semester, and review our experiences.

I'll start with two I visited this weekend:

1. The Copper Kettle.
I think this restaurant is all about expectations - the website makes it seem like more of an upscale, sit-down restaurant than it actually is. While there are tables and chairs, the food is served cafeteria-style, and resembles my great-grandmother's nursing home cafe a little too much for my liking...

So, you can imagine my surprise when we walked in and were expecting a nice dinner. However, the food actually turned out to be good, and they had a wide variety of southern style food at decent prices. So, all about expectations.

2. Star Bagel
I just went for the first time this weekend, but have heard about it for a while now. 5 STARS. My bacon, egg and cheese breakfast bagel was delicious, and the atmosphere was even better - the perfect saturday morning breakfast spot - lots of people drinking coffee post - exercise, and many families who had walked over from their nearby neighborhoods. It was a great escape.

That's all for now...

THE REBUTTAL

I resent these quotes, so I am re-posting with some of my "lovely" roommate Clare's own sayings.

"I just saw your bottom"

"I'm about to call my mom, so you get to hear about my stomach problems in graphic detail"

"When you get the chance, I would like to hear about the cheese dip"

"Just tell me if you want me to leave the room, gosh"

JUST SO YOU KNOW, SHE MADE ME EDIT THESE

CATHERINE'S QUOTES OF THE WEEK

I've decided I am going to institute a weekly post dedicated to the delightful sayings of my lovely roommate. Here's just a few from the past week:

"I am awesome. "

"I'm going to Bible study...and you're going to Hell*." - Why thank you Catherine!

"I could be such a bigger DIVA than you."

"Alright, stripping."

*Catherine would like me to point out that she did not actually damn me to Hell.

Just an addition to the welcome...

You might be asking yourself, "self, why is this blog so pink?"

you should answer, "because clare and catherine's room is pink"

that's why.
